How does the pre-order process work?
Pay a deposit today to reserve your birds in a specific batch. We raise your Freedom Rangers 9–11 weeks on open pasture with non-GMO feed. After processing, we invoice you for the balance based on the actual weighed-out pounds and arrange delivery to your door.
What is the price per pound?
Single birds are $7.00/lb. Bulk packs save you more: 4 birds at $6.50/lb, 8 birds at $6.25/lb, and 12 birds at $6.00/lb. Birds average 5–6 lbs at processing, so expect roughly $35–42 per bird at single pricing.
Are your chickens pasture-raised and non-GMO?
Yes. Our Freedom Rangers are raised on open pasture here in Bradford, Vermont with non-GMO feed. No antibiotics, no hormones, ever. Processed on-farm under Vermont's 1,000-bird exemption — so you know exactly where your food comes from.
How and when will I receive my birds?
After processing, we'll contact you to arrange delivery to your door. Birds are hand-processed, shrink-wrapped, and frozen within hours. We'll invoice you for the balance at that time based on actual dressed weight.
Is the deposit refundable?
Deposits are non-refundable as they help us plan flock size and purchase chicks. If something comes up, reach out — we'll do our best to work with you and apply your deposit to a future batch.
Where are you located?
We're in Bradford, Vermont (Orange County) in the Connecticut River Valley. We deliver to your door — no pickup required.
